Stoke the Spark Collective - Empowering Youth Together

A Spark is Catching...

Be part of the Collective

We don’t just watch the light; we stoke the fire.

Find us at the Park!

This summer, Stoke the Spark Collective is popping up at local parks to create meaningful moments of connection, joy, and community for kids, youth, and families.

Through simple acts of outreach like free popsicles, bubbles, creative activities, and conversation, we aim to build belonging, encourage positive connection, and remind young people that they are seen, valued, and supported right where they are.

Join us June 10th!

Join Stoke the Spark Collective for an upcoming Bingo & Craft Night at the Marysville Library — a fun, welcoming space for youth and families to connect, create, laugh, and build real community together.

Open to everyone, so bring your friends and come enjoy a safe night of fun, creativity, and belonging!

This is also an opportunity to give feedback and ideas for ways we can help make Snohomish County a better place. Together we can help make a difference.

No spark is meant to go out in the dark

Suicide and isolation are stealing our youth. But we believe everyone carries a "Divine Spark"—a unique purpose and a reason to stay.

Protect the Spark

Suicide is the second leading cause of death for youth aged 10–24 in the United States. Suicide is more common than death from cancer, heart disease, AIDS, and other diseases combined for this age group.

Stoke Belonging

Nearly 1 in 3 youth ages 12 to 17 had a mental, emotional, developmental, or behavioral problem in 2022–2023, often linked to low belonging. And only 17% of young adults feel "deeply connected" to a community

Ignite Hope

Based on 2023 CDC data, 1 in 5 U.S. high school students seriously considered attempting suicide, with 9.5% attempting it, highlighting a severe mental health crisis.

Grow the Collective

Mentorship is associated with lower odds of suicide ideation, planning, and attempts. Mentorship can counteract the high suicide risk associated with cyberbullying, academic failure, behavioral issues, low self-esteem, and social isolation.

Our goal is to offer all

Why Stoke the Spark?

Dedicated to boosting youth outcomes with meaningful mentorship and mental health support.

Research-Based Programs

All initiatives are grounded in studies proving mentorship improves education and emotional health. Mentored youth report significantly lower levels of depression and social anxiety compared to non-mentored peers. Mentored youth show over 50% lower odds of suicide ideation.

Focused Small Cohorts

Intimate group settings allow personalized skill-building and stronger support networks. It fosters safe, supportive environments that build confidence, resilience, and social skills. Small groups offer a supportive atmosphere where youth can take risks, try new things, and build confidence without fear of failure.

Collaborative Workshops

Interactive activities designed to foster leadership, resilience, and social connection. It encourages peer-to-peer connection, enhancing teamwork, reducing social isolation, and improving mental health, ultimately boosting academic performance and future readiness.

Preventive Mental Health

Despite the benefits, mentoring is declining. Data from 2022 showed that 35% of young adults grew up without a mentor. However, in 2026, 97% of individuals with a mentor report finding the experience valuable. Stoke the Spark Collective is on a mission to to bring mentorship up and the mental health crisis down.

Igniting a generation where isolation is replaced by connection

According to The National Mentoring Partnership, children at risk who had a mentor were: 55% more likely to enroll in college 52% less likely to skip school 37% less likely to skip class 78% more likely to volunteer regularly 90% interested in becoming a mentor themselves 130% more likely to hold leadership posistions.

We Believe in the Power of Prayer

Stoke the Spark Collective Mobile Prayer Team exists to bring encouragement, hope, compassion, and prayer directly into our community. We believe sometimes the most powerful thing we can offer is simply showing up, listening, caring, and reminding people they are not alone.

Our team seeks to meet people where they are — at parks, community events, hospitals, outreach gatherings, neighborhoods, and everyday spaces — offering prayer, support, kindness, and genuine human connection without judgment.

Whether someone is walking through hardship, celebrating a victory, carrying heavy burdens, or simply needing someone to stand beside them, our desire is to create safe moments of care, compassion, and hope.

We believe small moments of love and presence can have lasting impact, and that every person deserves to feel seen, valued, and supported.

If you would like prayer, want to connect with our team, or are interested in volunteering with the Mobile Prayer Team, we would love to hear from you.

What does it mean to be part of the Collective?

Be "Fuel" For the Fire

It takes a collective of people willing to show up, give, encourage, and invest in the lives of kids, youth, and families to create lasting impact.

Every contribution matters. Whether it’s a financial donation, supplies for a program, snacks for an event, art materials, volunteer time, or simply helping spread the word — every act of support helps spark hope, belonging, creativity, and connection in someone’s life.

No donation is too small. What may seem simple to one person could become a meaningful moment, a new opportunity, or even a life-changing experience for someone else.

When you give, you become a difference maker. You become part of the Collective helping young people feel seen, valued, supported, and empowered to grow into who they were created to be.

Together, we can make a bigger impact than any of us could alone.

Pray for us

You are helping build a fence of protection around the vulnerable. I ask first for your prayers. A "triple-braided cord" of community, strategy, and faith is not easily broken.

  • "Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken".  — Ecclesiastes 4:12
  • "If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off?" — Matthew 18:12
